Health and Physical Education
At St Augustine's we offer a structured Health and Physical Education program that is offered to all students in the class settings.
Students explore the movement skills, concepts and strategies that enable students to participate in a range of physical activities confidently and competently.
At St Augustine's complete in many local district sporting events which also drive our curriculum at school.
Some of the local events are:
- Noel Pollard Basketball
- Cross country
- Energy Breakthrough- local run event of endurance, team work and presentations skills. All our senior Year 5 and 6 work together for either a push cart, trike race or innovations.
In Health and Physical Education, students develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to support them to be resilient, to develop a strong sense of self, to build and maintain satisfying relationships, to make health-enhancing decisions in relation to their health and physical activity participation, and to develop health literacy competencies in order to enhance their own and others’ health and wellbeing.
